Dell and Napster Provide Free Music to Customers

LOS ANGELES --(Business Wire)-- Oct 02, 2009 It just got a bit easier for people who like listening to music on their laptop or desktop computers. Napster, the pioneer of digital music, today announced that beginning later this month, Dell will ship select systems in the U.S., U.K. and Germany with instant access to a free year (retail value: $60) of Napster, including 60 MP3s of the consumer’s choice plus 12 months of unlimited on-demand music listening from a catalog of more than eight million songs.

Select Dell Studio and Inspiron PC models shipping directly from Dell in the U.S., U.K. and Germany, as well as Dell branded PCs purchased at Best Buy in the U.S., will be sold with a Napster icon on the desktop and “Dell Dock” that enables instant redemption of a one-year Napster subscription.
