Sex Addiction Expert Weighs In on Issues Facing the Next Decade of Addicts and Treatment Professionals

Sex addiction professional Robert Weiss offer tips for sexual healing as increase in issues related to cybersex, porn, and serial infidelity are thought to increase over the next decade
LOS ANGELES --(Business Wire)-- Jan 12, 2010 Robert Weiss, Founding Director of the Sexual Recovery Institute (SRI), whose intensive outpatient programs have treated numerous celebrities and high profile business people throughout the world, has published a report offering tips for sexual healing due to an increase in issues related to sex addiction.

"As the media begins to focus more and more on issues related to cybersex, porn and serial infidelity, there will be an increase in those seeking treatment," remarked Weiss. "It's important, as someone whose spent so much time helping sex and porn addicts overcome their addictions, to offer some advice to those still struggling."

Weiss offers the following five steps toward healing from sexual addiction:
1. Acknowledging the problem fully.
2. Eliminating porn access (some can't access Internet at all for a time).
3. Being honest with yourself and your loved ones.
4. Educating yourself (and spouse).

5. Getting help (i.e. 12-step recovery programs, church groups, addiction based therapy).
