ControlTalk is designed to give users music and movie playback control on their Apple® iPod®, iPhone™ and other music-enabled phones. The durable on-cable control brings users an unprecedented level of on-the-go flexibility and convenience to high performance headphones, providing consumers with easier access to the functions they need to control most (track selection, phone calls, volume). ControlTalk: On-Cable Playback Control and Hands-Free Calling

With its integrated high-grade microphone and easily accessible answer button, the low-profile ControlTalk cable allows users to access their music and answer phone calls without having to reach into their pocketbook, backpack or pocket. When used with the iPhone 3GS and newer iPods, ControlTalk offers users full playback functionality including, play/pause, tracking forward/back, scanning forward/back and volume control. Plus, the unique ergonomically designed shape of ControlTalk lets music lovers access its features easily, often without even glancing at the cord.

Notably, when used with the third-generation iPod shuffle, users will literally be able to hear the iPod shuffle actually “speak” to them via ControlTalk. The third-generation iPod shuffle with the VoiceOver feature can speak song titles, artists and playlist names. When users want to know the name of the song or artist playing, they simply press a button on the ControlTalk and the iPod shuffle will tell them the song and artist name. The iPod shuffle can even announce status information, such as the time and battery life.

ControlTalk Available on Beats™ by Dr. Dre™ Headphones

At Macworld, ControlTalk will be demonstrated on select models from the popular Beats by Dr. Dre line of headphones from Monster. Beats by Dr. Dre was co-founded by legendary artist and producer Dr. Dre and Interscope Geffen A&M Chairman Jimmy Iovine to develop a new type of headphone with the capability to reproduce the full spectrum of sound that musical artists and producers hear in professional recording studios.

The remote is supported by iPod shuffle (3rd generation). Audio is supported by all iPod models.
