Sunnyvale, Calif. – August 24, 2010 – At the Global Technology Conference on September 1, senior executives from leading firms in the EDA/IP industry will join GLOBALFOUNDRIES in an Executive Forum about the increasing challenges in design enablement and manufacturing on advanced technology nodes. The GTC 2010 forum, which will take place at 1:00 p.m. PDT in the auditorium of the Santa Clara Convention Center, will be introduced by GLOBALFOUNDRIES CEO Doug Grose and moderated by Mojy Chian, senior vice president of design enablement.
The discussion will feature the following panelists:
· Simon Segars, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Physical IP Division, ARM
· Lip-Bu Tan, President and Chief Executive Officer, Cadence Design Systems
· Joe Sawicki, Vice President and General Manager, Design-to-Silicon Division, Mentor Graphics
· Aart de Geus, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, Synopsys
“As the industry continues to adopt more advanced technologies, close and early collaboration between process development and leading-edge design has become critically important,” Chian said. “The EDA/IP ecosystem is a defining link in this process, and we are privileged to have some of the top executive minds in this space to help us explore opportunities for delivering a better model for foundry design enablement. It is truly a rarity to have these four leaders sit down together in such a venue, which is a testament to the importance they place on collaborating to help our mutual customers bring their next-generation designs to life.”
