Fujitsu Semiconductor and Hynix Semiconductor Sign License Agreement
Yokohama, Japan and Seoul, Korea, June 16, 2011 - Fujitsu Semiconductor Limited and Hynix Semiconductor Inc. today announced that they have signed a patent cross license agreement based on both parties' patent portfolio evaluation, to secure design freedom where importance of intellectual property continues to increase.
"We are pleased to have reached an agreement with Hynix Semiconductor," said Akinori Tahara, President of Intellectual Property Unit of Fujitsu Semiconductor. "We consider our intellectual property, including our patents, to be important company assets. Accordingly, we will continue to leverage our intellectual property to support our business."
