Datapath Ltd, specialists in video capture hardware, HD capture devices cards and multi display; have announced the addition of two new capture cards to their Vision ‘S’ range.
By increasing the bandwidth by 35% of the existing popular Vision range, the new VisionS range is now boasting a total DMA engine bandwidth of 650MB/s throughout all of its cards.
The first new card is a single channel RGB/ DVI/ HD capture card enables analog/ DVI data to be triple buffered and copied using DMA to the host system for display, storage and streaming. The second is a HD/SD video capture card which has five complete capture channels, including four SD analog capture channels.
VisionRGB-E1s Descriptions and Features:
The VisionRGB-E1s video capture card provides video capture from analog RGB or digital DVI video signals and works at a pixel rate of up to 170MHz (analog) or 165MHz (DVI). The data is captured and recorded on a 32MB buffer. Using direct memory access technology transfers the data to the host system where it is then available for display, storage or streaming.
The capture card features include:
Support for YUV 4:2:2, RGB5:5:5, 5:6:5, 8:8:8 video output formats – making it compatible with a wide variety of systems
16 cropping windows for the capture channel – providing different views on captured images on a video wall, whether a single or multi display setup
High quality down scaling
On card processor for real time mode detection – for trouble free connection to a wide variety of video sources
Support for multiple cards allowing up to 32 capture channels
VisionSD4+1s Descriptions and Features:
The VisionSD4+1s card is able to capture HD formats up to 1080p with 60 frames per second, HDMI up to 1080p, DVI up to resolutions of 1920 x 1200 pixels and with RGB/ VGA up to 2048 x 1536 pixels. Four composite/ S-video inputs (PAL, NTSC, and SECAM) are supported. The maximum video resolution is 720 x 576 pixels. VisionSD4+1s allows the simultaneous capture of high-resolution DVI-I or HDMI source with up to four standard video sources and is ideally suited to areas such as medical technology, video conferencing and security.
The capture card features include:
A 64MB buffer memory per channel, enabling triple buffering for all video modes for tear free video.
Direct DMA diver software and streaming driver
Four SD capture channels for PAL/NTSC, SECAM (composite or S-video inputs)
Support for multiple cards allowing up to 128 SD capture channels plus 32 DVI-I capture channels
A maximum sample rate of 1170Mpixels per second analog RGB or 165 MHz DVI. Analog modes up to 340MHz pixel clock can be captured using dual-pass sampling.
“We’re proud we can offer these enhancements to our products in parallel to the many customer driven enhancements we provide through SW updates on a regular basis” said Bjorn Krylander MD at Datapath, continuing “We will continue to focus on innovations which gives the greatest value to our customers”.
Both new capture cards come with Datapath’s normal Warranty of 3 years and effective customer support options. To find out more download the full product specification for either of the cards at http://www.datapath.co.uk
