Master video gamer Jonathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel loves Body Glove's 8-Bit video and wants you to vote for in in the TransworldSURF Imaginarium contest.
Redondo Beach, CA – September 15, 2011 – Body Glove's professional surfer Cheyne Magnusson got together with master video gamer Fatal1ty to talk about his 8-bit video game themed surf video. Why? Because TransworldSURF called upon the surf industry’s biggest names to partake in a competition to change the way we look at surf photography and video. Each contestant was asked to come up with an idea, create a story and get images of surfing like we’ve never seen before. The winner gets the cover and a spread inside TransworldSURF and some solid bragging rights. This year the contest was changed it up and the public is voting for their favorite entries in a Reader’s Choice battle.
Body Glove team rider Cheyne Magnusson, an avid video player, met up with professional gamer Fatal1ty to get his take on Body Glove’s 8-Bit concept. During the meeting Fatal1ty, a surfer himself, declared, “It’s amazing! I was blown away by the piece. The whole thing was shot really well.”
To say Cheyne was stoked on Fatal1ty’s approval of his 8-bit idea would be an understatement. Fatal1ty also loved the throw back to Super Mario Brother’s games filled with tunnels and day and night levels.
