from 1U 4-bay to 8U 50-bay rackmount, the EN872W+BXE provides the same flexibility of supporting NAS and iSCSI target
with an increased storage capacity by providing 72 hard drives all in a single 8U rackmount unit.

storage. The EliteNAS EN872W+BXE is a perfect choice when sharing information among a large network of computers. To
maintain optimal performance, the EN872W+BXE utilizes the latest Intel Xeon processor Dual Quad-Core CPU and has four
built-in Gigabit Ethernet ports with a 10G networking upgrade option. Utilizing three 1200MHz RAID processors, hard drive
failures are protected by RAID 1, 3, 5, 6, 10 30, 50 and 60. Advanced storage technologies such as file de-duplication using
Single Instant Storage, replication using Distributed File System Replication and snapshot using Volume Shadow Copy
Service all come standard without any additional cost. Third party Windows based software, such as anti-virus and backup
agent could also be installed to further enhance the features of the NAS unit. And since the EN872W+BXE is based on the
popular Microsoft Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Standard, it easily integrates to any Windows Active Directory network
along with support for Microsoft Windows 2008 Hyper-V virtualization and iSCSI target software for high-speed block-based
file sharing.
Based on the same platform as the existing EliteNAS series, the EN872W+BXE provides 72 hard drive bays in one single
8U rackmount platform. The unique physical structure of having 48 HDD bays in the front and 24 bays in the rear allows a
total 72 bays in one single 8U form factor with sufficient cooling for the all the HDDs. Supporting the latest 3TB SATA and
SAS hard drives, the EN872W+BXE allows up to 216TB in total raw storage capacity, making it the highest capacity NAS
storage unit in the EliteNAS series. Designed with three built-in expansion ports, the EN872W+BXE is capable of expanding
up to 360 drives or 21 more EliteSTOR JBOD units for a maximum of 1080TB (1.08PetaByte) in total storage capacity.
In addition to its large storage capacity, the EliteNAS EN872W+BXE come standard with enterprise redundancy features for
maximum data protection. With four hot-swappable redundant power supplies, Mirrored-OS HDDs, RAID controller and
multiple NIC ports, the EN872W+BXE is designed to operate 24x7 with minimum system down time. “The EliteNAS series
