AMD Welcomes New President & CEO, Rory Read
I wanted to reach out to introduce myself and share my enthusiasm about our opportunities for joint success. One of the many reasons I joined AMD is because it is a true innovator. AMD is uniquely positioned to drive the industry forward and deliver the next "big thing," like we've already done with 64-bit computing, world-beating graphics solutions and the invention of the world's first APUs.
Most recently, we began shipping our first 16-core server processors and the first processor based on our newest "Bulldozer" architecture. The "Bulldozer" core represents the beginning of unprecedented performance scaling for x86 CPUs, and I'm excited to be joining AMD at the beginning of that innovation cycle.
