ESL TV content streamed exclusively on TwitchTV – Higher quality of the broadcast
Cologne, October 14, 2011 – Electronic Sports League, the largest eSports league in Europe, launches a co-operation with TwitchTV, world’s largest video game broadcasting community. The partnership will allow ESL TV, ESL’s web TV service, to provide its content to a larger community of eSports fans ensuring at the same time higher quality of the stream. The collaboration starts this weekend with the live broadcast of the third Global Challenge of the Intel Extreme Masters, the most prominent international league organized by the ESL.
“At the ESL, we all have an overwhelming passion for eSports, and we know we share it with the TwitchTV team,” said Sven Hoffmann, Managing Director at ESL TV, web TV service of the ESL. “We’re happy to partner with them to bring all ESL content to the TwitchTV platform. TwitchTV will stream the content provided by the ESL TV broadcasting live all the events of the Electronic Sports League. The list includes such well-established tournaments like ESL Pro Series, the national league for computer games, and Intel Extreme Masters, the global league of the video game champions. The third stop of the latter, the Intel Extreme Masters 2011/12 Global Challenge New York taking place this weekend at New York Comic Con, will launch the partnership.
