Intel Extreme Masters 2011/12 World Championship with 283,000 US Dollar in prize money - Start of the new season of the ESL Pro Series - Three stages and a free gaming area
On March 6 - 10, Hanover will once again host one of the largest IT trade fairs in the world - CeBIT. In the Intel Extreme Masters Hall (hall 23, 10,000m²) Turtle Entertainment, the leading eSports company in Europe, will present eSports at the highest international level. Next to the Intel Extreme Masters World Championship, the finals of the global league of the video game champions, the event will also feature the start of the Spring Season of the German eSports national league, the ESL Pro Series. All the action from the Intel Extreme Masters Hall will be broadcasted live by the ESL's web TV service, ESL TV.
Intel Extreme Masters is one of the most prominent international tournaments. Throughout the entire season the best gamers from all over the world compete for their share of 643,000 US Dollar and the title of the World Champion. The Intel Extreme Masters World Championship will feature competitions in three disciplines: Counter-Strike 1.6, StarCraft II and League of Legends. The list of the participants includes such eSports celebrities like Gregory 'IdrA' Fields (US) or Moon 'MMA' Sung Won (KOR) and the world famous teams like SK Gaming or Fnatic (both from Sweden). Apart from the title and a trophy, the players at CeBIT will compete for a share of 283,000 US Dollar.

Throughout the entire season the best pro-gamers from Europe, Asia and both Americas were fighting for their share of the 643,000 US Dollars - world's highest prize money for an international league for computer games. Hall 23 at CeBIT will also be the place where the Spring Season 2012 of the ESL Pro Series Germany will kick off. The best professional gamers in Germany will collect their first important points on their road for the National Championship - the BenQ Finals. ESL Pro Series is the most prominent eSports league in Germany.
