There were one or 2 reviews that hit 2.85 on stock air, but time will tell all. But why in the world would anyone spend over a grand on a socket 939 CPU when the new M2 are just right around the corner...................

But not a grand.............. I can see a 3800 x2 or something like that, but not a top of the line............. :P

And I've got a ton of nice ram, but I'd get rid of it for a M2 and DDR2 if I had the chance (money)................ :P

same here. I can't justify spending over a $1000US on a processor alone. just plain ridiculous
I'm allways interested in pushing the borders of performance but I couldn't ever explain to myself that a $1000 CPU is just that much better than a $300
