The all new cool and innovative Magnetic Pin. Now easily install, adjust, and remove your system fans while reducing noise and vibration.
The Magnetic Pin is a unique rubber pin that magnetically attaches your system fan to your case. The special composition of rubber will absorb vibrations and reduce fan noise. The magnets embedded in the pin allow you to quickly install and remove your fans as needed, no tools required!
1. Vibration absorbing; noise reducing.
2. Tool-less Installation/Removal.
3. Magnetically attaches to case.

How do they affect mechanical hard drives?
Re: Prolimatech Magnetic Pin
Don't think the magnets are anywhere near powerful enough to cause a magnetic field that would mess with the drives.
Things I thought of,
1. aluminum cases are S.O.L. (for obvious reasons LOL)
2. are they strong enough to stay in place when the case is moved around.
3. will they be available in other colors

I love the idea!
Perhaps if you dropped the magnet onto you HDD, but then again I'd be skeptical that the magnet would be strong enough even in direct contact.Oatmeal wrote:How do they affect mechanical hard drives?
