AMD: Sempron 3Q launch to push AMD sales

The desktop AMD Sempron processors will be available in Socket-A, 754- and 939-pin platforms, said the sources. The Socket-A models will use the current AMD Athlon XP processor core, while the 754-pin models will be supported by chipsets codenamed Paris and Victoria, said the sources, adding that the 939-pin Sempron will be unveiled in early 2005.

see now this pisses me off because paris and victoria are the code names for the CPU's not the chipsets. amd does not make mainstream chipsets. Paris is a 256kb hammer for s747 and s939 and victoria is a 90nm version of the chip with unknown cach size.
