VAUGHAN, ON (October 11, 2006) – Ideazon Inc., designer and developer of the Zboard™, the world’s first keyboard designed for PC gaming, today announced that the ReaperTM, its first precision gaming mouse, will be available to consumers this November.
Following on the success and rave reviews of the award-winning MERC Gaming Keyboard and FANG PC Gamepad launched this year, the Reaper has been designed to meet the needs of gamers seeking a competitive edge through high-performance gaming peripherals.
“Ideazon is a gaming company with its ear to the ground when it comes to knowing what hardcore PC gamers are after in their endless pursuit to dominate, and there’s no doubt that the Reaper will be one hot item for serious gamers everywhere,” said Chris Rathgeber, President. “Our community of dedicated, hardcore gamers has helped in the development of all of our award winning products including the Swappable and Game Specific Zboard, the MERC with it’s dedicated gaming terrain and 100+ pre-defined key layouts and the military grade Fang PC Gamepad; and the community made it very clear that they need an Ideazon mouse to compliment their current peripherals.”
The Reaper Gaming Mouse, retailing for $39.99 (US) will be available November 1, 2006 at retail locations across North America and at Ideazon.com.
Reaper features include:
1600 DPI Optical Engine
Six programmable buttons
7th button for on the fly driverless DPI switching
Illumination
Gold Plated USB Connectors
Non-slip rubberized left and right mouse buttons
Non-stick Teflon mouse feet
“The Reaper will be a perfect addition to all of the other Ideazon products we choose for professional gaming.” said Alex Garfield, Executive Director of Team EG – one of the world’s top CounterStrike teams. “They will provide all gamers, with better results be it in a competitive environment or a casual encounter with friends.”
Gamers are also anticipating the release of the FragMat gaming surface. It’s oversized (11.81 x 9.44 inches) allowing for wider strokes. The FragMat is sleek, smooth and bigger than your typical mouse pad.
The top surface is made of a reduced friction polymer to ensure fast and smooth movement. The underside is made of a specialized rubber compound making certain it stays put. All of this technology and its only 7/100 of an inch thick.
Ideazon has teamed with Electronic Arts to produce the official Battlefield 2142 FragMat and teamed with Valve® to produce the official FragMats for CounterStrike, Half Life and Day of Defeat. Branded FragMats feature official game graphics and were created with the same technology as the original FragMat which features the Ideazon “Z” icon. FragMats will retail for $14.99 (US).
The Reaper and the FragMat will be available for preview at DigitalLife in New York City, October 12-15, 2006.
