Gamers Cast Millions of Votes for the Most Notable Games of 2006

SAN FRANCISCO --(Business Wire)-- Feb. 1, 2007 "Gears of War," a sci-fi shooter published by Microsoft Game Studios, was named "GameSpot Readers' Choice Game of the Year" for 2006 by users of GameSpot (http://www.gamespot.com), a leading video game web site and a property of CNET Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq:CNET). The Readers' Choice award winners were determined by millions of votes cast by GameSpot users and are a follow-up to site's annual editorial awards for which "Gears of War" was also selected as game of the year.
