Gaming Legend, Johnathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel, Makes his Debut as xclusive Analyst for DIRECTV's Second Championship Gaming Invitational -- Feb. 9, 2007 DIRECTV, Inc.:

WHAT: CHAMPIONSHIP GAMING INVITATIONAL, airing Feb. 10 and 11,
on DIRECTV's The 101. Following the overwhelming success
of the premiere CHAMPIONSHIP GAMING INVITATIONAL event in
July 2006, this round of competition will feature gaming
legend Johnathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel as the exclusive play-
by-play commentator. Tune in to this two-part event and
witness all of the upfront and behind-the-scenes action as
some of the world's best gamers face off in an
unprecedented, all-star competition.

The CHAMPIONSHIP GAMING INVITATIONAL 2007 will be followed
by the eagerly anticipated Championship Gaming Series, an
international video gaming league, which will broadcast to
more than 100 million homes worldwide starting in Spring
2007, and will also be airing nationally on DIRECTV's The
101.

WHO: PARTICIPATING ATHLETES INCLUDE:
Emmanuel "Master" Rodriguez, Adande "Swoozie" Thorne,
Caitlin "Venus" Buckshaw, Brian "Bboyle" Boyle, Winfield
"7humbs" Hill, Vanessa "PMS Vanessa" Arteaga and Kristin
"Vanity Assassin" Neglia

GAMES IN COMPETITION INCLUDE:
-- Counter-Strike: Source
-- Dead or Alive 4
-- Project Gotham Racing 3
-- World of Warcraft
-- Quake 4

WHEN: PREMIERE EPISODES ON DIRECTV'S CHANNEL 101
First episode: Saturday, Feb. 10 at 10 p.m. EST
Second episode: Sunday, Feb. 11 at 10 p.m. EST

LOL...I have no idea...I don't make the news..I just report it. :lol: Maybe the xclusive Analyst will help keep it interesting. :)

I don't have DirectTV so I can't tune in.....

i like how they are trying to mainstream videogaming and giving it more exposure...but i think they are making it look stupid. that wendel guy is too much. hes a legend cause he is one of the first people to be known because of video games. get over it.

If only I had DirecTV.......but I don't. Fatal1ty is getting pretty old. He's like that Ken Jennings guy from Jeopardy....yea he kicked everyone's ass for a while, but now he just needs to disappear.
