any one else getting this with the new fah clients (smp)? i dont know why they made us update that very mature completly stable beta6 into this craplet. i have no problem with them beta testing but we should get to keep what works until they get it more mature. sorry for the rant, just need to vent my steam :axe:

I did the exact same things you said in your guide, but it still will only run on 1 core one of my dual systems even with the -smp flag. seems the -smp flag opens 4 of the fahcore_82.exe files, but only lets 1 run at 50%, hence the only using 1 cores' worth of power.

ARGH - seems like a TON of people are having the same problem too :(

Does have some nice install instructions there, but it doesnt address the single core folding when in -smp mode.

I am going to redo the config now to see if that helps.

deino uses a different fahcore than the mpich client

when using smp, don't forget the -smp flag and specify the amount of cores ie smp2 or or smp4

have to put a space between smp and the # - smp 2, or smp 4

THAT worked! now why when reading does it say to use -smp but never a number after it - ARGH. Maybe i was supposed to already know that, but I am an idiot and did not :p

Maybe you should make a post and sticky it that states to use the "-smp #ofcores" flag not just the -smp flag
