Man Down

Post by DMB2000uk »

Well I kept saying my rigs would have to go down for the summer, and it looks like they have.

Expired beta's, crashed clients, shutdown machines, something has taken me out.

And not being able to get back to them till september the 8th means I'm going to be down for another month.

Sorry guys, but its out of my hands.

Why not just set them up so you can SSH into them before leaving next time? At least that way you'd be able to fix expired clients...oh well, a month isn't too horrible :axe:

There aren't any open ports on the firewall :(

And if we want to open some, we have to petition to the broadband company and tell them why we want it open.
They serve all the schools in the county (not country :P), so we can't go with anyone else either.

You could try using https://logmein.com/ instead.
If you have admin rights to install it, then it will get past the firewall as the connection is initiated from the LAN
