Re: This is why you always get Permission
They can, they have, and they will do it again. Every once and while we get one like this. Some guy even Bittorented a file, that was laced with Folding, and installed it on 1000s of machines

Re: This is why you always get Permission
I wonder how Stanford would have felt if he'd have included it in the EULA kinda like how Y! Toolbar gets bundled with damn near everything but its installation is made known (by burying it in the EULA) and is (usually) optional...bad idea either way but it's kinda a case of hero or villain, he was doing something for a great cause but was also trespassing (in a way) by not forming an agreement saying it was OK to install. Re: This is why you always get Permission
Yahoo gets permission, usually Yahoo gives money to those who bundle it with there software. F@H was not sure if it still is bundled with google toolbar

Re: This is why you always get Permission
So you're saying that user installed F@H on TONS of computers without permission? How did Stanford find out about this?

Re: This is why you always get Permission
Wow. Good thing I only have it installed on the computers that we have atm. No one seems to trust [email protected] at least none of my friends.

Re: This is why you always get Permission
Oh, ok. It would be dumb for Stanford to cut the team, as folding is for everyone.
