Why I would like to be nominated.

Post by Sporg »

I know I'm one of the newer members to the folding team, and I don't have a compelling reason to sway anyone to vote for me. I honestly didn't pay much attention to what fold@home was until shortly before I won the HD4850 in the monthly contest. Since then I've pretty much left my rig on 24x7. Like most everyone who is folding I have had family members affected by some of the diseases that the fold@home project is trying to sort out.

Ultimately these machines need to go to people who are going to let them run 24x7 and have the funds to complete the build-out. My promise to the team is that I have the funds to complete the build-out and the ability to let the machine run 24x7. With that said, I know there are folks who have been folding a lot longer and may really be more worthy of the upgrade. So please consider them first when making your vote. It doesn't really matter who has the machines so long as they are folding.
I would never die for my beliefs because I might be wrong.
