Yeah but in order for it to matter, you'd have had to take the bet, but you didn't because you were scared

I told you back then that I didn't know what my ppd was when you challenged me, I had a 8800GTX during the war, so couldn't use those figures.

I'm not the kind to bet on something without knowing my odds :finga:

any way to stop getting these 84-point ones in the graphical single-CPU client?

im pretty sure if you go into the config(or delete the client info file) and when it asks you in the advanced options if you want to enable scientific cores, say no, and it should not download any Core 82's after that

well, in the graphical im not positive but i'm sure it's similar

out of curiosity, why use graphical?

on a side note- team taiwan is now gaining on us 499,900 pts a DAY!! in a matter of days, taiwan went from 100k per day to 600K+ per freaking day  with 4 people putting 30k or more with one being 70k, but we are gonna pass a couple people before they pass us(i hope)

I'm back up 100% on my own Vista rig as of today. Got my OC back up to what it was in XP on both the E6750 and the shaders up from 1825 to 1900 on the 8800GTS 512.
FAHmon says ~6600, but I'm positive that will climb a bit :snakeman:

Keep the CPU core Usage Percent level no higher than about 80% on a laptop. Laptops heat up badly when pushed had and long causing component failure.

My son's laptop that was folding for the team here overheated and the MOBO died. Due to a good warranty by HP-Compaq, it was replace for free. He was without a laptop for 30 days.

Needless to say, he works a minimum wage job and isn't folding anymore. He can't afford that mistake.

So, folding with a laptop can help, just don't stress the machine. Keep in it a cool place while folding too.

Great for helping the team out!

Definitely, though I'm currently folding on my laptop as well but I have extra measures in place and while super ghetto they work:
