im gonna put my other GSO into the dell tomorrow so it is #1 quieter(than a x850XT dual slot) #2 more powerful #3 actually being used!

so will there be a challenge? or will we wait till more people are back from summer vaca

What happened to your folding? I recall reading something bout your GPU crashing, but I'm not entirely sure bout that...

Man...why do I wanna leave LR so much...It feels like everything's dead and I wanna fold for my fellow Canadians...

basically its too freakin hot and i use my pc too much during summer, i dont have the nice 30 degree weather rolling in through my window anymore, it gets 50 at coldest, i'll give a breakdown of school PC use and Home pc use:

School sunday->thursday: folding from when i sleep till about 10:30pm the next night when i decide to play a little TF2 before going to bed again and restarting the clients again
school friday/saturday:folding from previous night through usually 2AM next morning where its off for like a half hour for a random game, then started up again.
home: PC straight up off all night, boot around noon, might start folding, might forget and just go outside and start doing stuff, if its mowing the lawn, i fold, otherwise no

so about 23 hrs a day available to fold vs about 3 have been limiting me, i didnt even start up my CPU clients for about a month, no GPU either when i was reviewing the 4670

but i have one GSO 24/7 now

hell, why don't we have a race Geo, you're slated to pass me in less than two weeks with pretty much 0 for my ppd, first to 1.5M :supz:

I'd love 50 degree weather...hell if it was even 75 I'd do backflips.

Lol it's supposed to be summer but we're getting like constant 24Cish weather in Toronto. WHERE'S SUMMER?!

That's a pretty nice folding schedule, as long as you remember to startup the clients after you're done gaming or when you're not using it xD. What happened to the other GSO though?

Hmm I don't mind racing, but I won't change my folding habits. It's like the following:

Sister's AMD X2 rig using Notfred Client. When it works, it works. Folds everyday from the moment I wake up or my sister wakes up if she's sleeping in her room till she go to sleep. Even if she is playing MapleStory, the rig is still folding and putting out about 800PPD. Otherwise, it puts out a nice theoretical 1600PPD when idle.

My own rig in sig using NVIDIA GPU and Windows SMP client. Same scenario as my sister. Folds when I wake up and turn on the computer till I go to sleep. GPU gets turned off when playing Counter-Strike (not often) and both GPU and SMP gets turned off when playing "graphic-intensive" games. I usually play single player though because.....I cheap? lol

Miscellaneous rigs such as a Pentium 4 folding when it's on (couple hours a day) and one uniprocessor client on a Acer Aspire 5601 laptop using a Core Duo. The laptop is on a couple hours a week, so I'm not even sure if they'll make the deadlines. Stopped using it lately to watch things on the TV.

i know the feeling, i think last month 27 days of 30 were rain(makes mowing our 4 acre lawn a B|tch!)

ok heres the status of both cards since school ended, when they were SLI/Dual Card both folding nearly 24/7:
i ran dual card for a couple weeks at home, then i decided that the performance wasnt up-to-par relative to the temps it was giving me, so i took one out to see if there was a nasty difference or not, i was lazy about putting it back in, then i ended up reviewing the 4670 a few weeks later, so the 'spare' card remained out for about a month and a half because i was switching cards in and out constantly because my review drive was set up for ATI, and my main drive was set up for nvidia, so it was one less thing i had to worry about putting in wrong when i was quickly throwing it back together(usually the boot order was getting f@cked when i switched, and then theres the nice fact the expansion bays screw holes were stripped so you can't screw either card down!) after the review was posted, i put the other GSO in for a little while, then i did overclocking runs and synthetics and gaming for a couple days, once i had good clocks(3.45GHz currently because im too lazy to put it up to 3.5(lazy because i took it off 3.5 because of crashes which ended being due to my RAM not getting enough volts)) i ran dual card for a while, then decided temps were just too high(each GPU @ 85C load), CPU @ 64C load so i took out the other card for about week till i had a good opportunity to throw in to the DELL where it's been folding since i installed it, which was yesterday

EDIT: 7,772 points here yesterday, not a bad start, today won't be as good because i installed Windows 7 on the DELL last night so it hasnt folded since the midnight update last night

I think we are waiting on it to get a bit cooler and for the college kids to make it back there where the power in the dorms is free.
