Why Folding For Legit Reviews Team #38296 Is Good
Re: Why Folding For Legit Reviews Team #38296 Is Good
I don't understand why college students should get first dibbs, or people living with their parents.
I really don't care how they are divveed, as long as deserving people get them. I just think Nate should decide.

I feel that being a college student, money is hard to come by. Staying at your parents place is because money is hard to come by. People that have full time jobs and there own place can spend their money any way they want. I also feel that college students that are active in folding show good quailites and should be rewarded. That's just my two cents worth.

I am not a college student and I don't live with my parents. I pass on any freebies. Please give to someone that needs them. Thanks

I'd say just chill your engines, people. The admin here know what they're doing and I'm sure Nate's got his plans for who'll be up for the gear when the time comes.

Get married, buy a home, have 3 children, adopt a child with special needs, 2 car payments, etc, etc, etc... then see if you get to spend your money "any way you want".vbironchef wrote:I feel that being a college student, money is hard to come by. Didn't mean to get anyone upset. I still pass on the freebie.

Re: Why Folding For Legit Reviews Team #38296 Is Good
well why do you say that? i would think someone not at home paying their own bills would be a better. Unless of course the school and rents are footing the bill

Plus I keep reading about peoples parents not letting them run the computers 24/7 or it is too hot in my room, etc...really doesnt matter to me, but the logic is flawed, I would say ;)

Re: Why Folding For Legit Reviews Team #38296 Is Good
sweet mother... I don't look at this for a few days and it goes to crap...
I'm waiting on four 4GB DDR2 memory kits to arrive from Corsair for the motherboards and then will be doing a drawing of sorts (yet to be determined) and will be giving away four core systems to people...
These kits will include the motherboard, processor, video card and memory... The only thing needed will be a hard drive, case/power supply and heat sink...
Figured our folders are crafty enough to put the rest of the pieces together!
A big hats off to AMD, ECS, Palit and Corsair Memory for donating all the parts to our community to fold.
Thank them and not me for making this possible.
The whole point behind these is to add to the teams performance and further research on things like cancer. Like many of you I lost a close family member to cancer and I feel that Folding is one way to do something to fight it.

That's why I fold. I do think that Legit Reviews is the best folding team to be on. I hope we can be in the top 100 by the end of the year, that would be great.
martini161. DaIceMan, vicaphit, KnightRid, I gladly pass on the goodies and recommend that all of you get goodies instead.
I will be folding 24/7 anyways. Fold on!

That was my entire motivation for starting to fold as well. I'm just glad I found a great home in LR to be able to contribute to the cause.Apoptosis wrote:The whole point behind these is to add to the teams performance and further research on things like cancer. Yes, huge thanks to all those that made/make this possible... including you Nate, as we wouldn't be here every day without your efforts (and that of the other staff members).Apoptosis wrote:A big hats off to AMD, ECS, Palit and Corsair Memory for donating all the parts to our community to fold.

I keep looking at the numbers, and with the addition of these new machines, I can't see any reason we shouldn't be busting down the Top 100 door by the end of November to early December. And with those added numbers for the team, those that are chasing us will be held at bay long enough we should be able to hold the Top 100 spot into the new year!

I think that's pretty kickass regarding the donated hardware for a good cause. I would gladly throw a few bucks to finish out a system and just let it fold 24/7.

I wholeheartedly agree. A few bucks out of pocket to help prevent so many devastating diseases is well worth it.Sporg wrote:I think that's pretty kickass regarding the donated hardware for a good cause. I would gladly throw a few bucks to finish out a system and just let it fold 24/7.

I think everyone should get together and send a letter to those companies with all of our signatures on it, to show appreciation for their help! Its not much, but saying THANK YOU can have a HUGE impact! I am sure Apop would be able to get the letter into the right hands.Apoptosis wrote:These kits will include the motherboard, processor, video card and memory... That is just plain awesome in terms of what they have donated! Maybe the companies themselves will start folding more also!!!
