well since i leave my comp on 24/7 i wouldnt really mind if it was using up 100% of my cpu, i put the bar @100% but it seems like it doesnt want to use up more than 50% (about 25% from each core)

its only using one core, you should be running the SMP so that it uses two cores and you get better points for the team

I got the same exact results too moving the bar to 100% and getting about a steady 50% number crunching. Well, after poking around some, the advance tab has something called Core Priority. I made it the "slightly higher" selection and have seen a boost to 51% to 68% now. It fluctuates up and down within that range. It's not a huge jump of processing, but the frame per second rate improved.

well your issue stev is because your running a HyperThreading CPU, you want to run two instances of the Single CPU client or uninstall all that you have and run this
http://www.justa-larrkin.com/folding/OC ... al-ADV.zip
Installation Instructions:
1. Download the file listed above
2. Edit both client.cfg files with NOTEPAD to your username and bigpackets answer ("yes" or "no" - default is "no").
3. Run the *.exe file.
4. The One-click will then create a directory (C:\Program Files\FAH), download the FAH console client, creates and installs FAH as a service in the registry, starts the FAH Service, and cleans up the extra download files after the install is completed.
Make sure you edit just the username and team number in both client.cfgs. Basically extract it, edit the cfg files, and then run the exe file.

AFAIK you shouldn't run two instances of FAH if you only have hyprethreading

It will run too slow as it's not two real cores. The OS is tricked into thinking there's two cores. It basically allows the OS to get a little more performance by utilising unused clock cycles.
