I have now been folding 24/7 for a mth with 4 compueters in my apartment. just to clear up the power usage question that always seems to come up.

8/10/04 -9/9/04: $28.72, 347KWh @ $0.06545 per KWh, + $6.01 customer charge

9/9/04-10/8/04: $38.28, 493KWh @ $0.06545 per KWh, + $6.01 customer charge

so yes folding does increase your electric bill and yes it increased mine by about 1/3 but when i look at it, it costs me less to have 4 compuers folding 24hrs a day 7 days a week than leaving my TV on for the same langth of time.

good info to know and that is for 4 computers.. So it's costing about $2.50 a month to fold PER computer system. Do you leave your monitor on? I got a couple computers folding 24-7 and I leave them off (or they are on a KVM).

Monitors are off, thats the big cost unless you have all LCD's because an average 17in CRT is about 100watts.

my 17in viewsonic uses: Consumption 90W (typ)
