just wondering cuz my P4 3.0GHz does a WU in about a week, but my Athlon xp @ 2.2 GHz.. well i havent had the time to see, but i believe its well over a month(hence why i havent been folding(my mom doesnt let me use the dell anymore), so what do all of you use, and anyone use a CPU as old as my XP?

right now I have

T7300 running SMP
P4 2.66 running normal command line F@H
and 1 unknown folder (probably a borg I forgot about)

No idea when the P4 turns in WUs. Its my best friends PC, its not on more than a 8hrs a week. So I doubt he even makes deadlines half the time

I use my rig in the sig. Comp's on liike 7 hours a day for the weekdays, and 14 hours for the weekend. I run the normal F@H client. But, I fold for another team as well.

Don't go hating on me now.

P.S. A WU gets in about every 3-4 days. Doesn't matter whether it's 2000000 steps or 4000000 which I find a bit weird. Oh well

i think i have come to the conclusion that less steps=larger ones, more steps=smaller ones

My Daily Driver is an Athlon XP 2200 (1798Mhz) and it completed a work unit every 3.5-4 days with Graphical client. Seems to be every other day with text only. I need to monitor a bit better and see what the time frame is for it. Just checked the log and it finished a p3045 (1500000) unit in 52 hours.

Only one atm, a Athlon XP 1600. It's the only one that's been folding for me for about four months now.

I have more to hook up to the network, I just never have time!

AMD 6000 X2 and a 4000 X2, Both running SMP.
Also 2 P4- 2.4ghz Dells running normal F@H Client.

running intel E6850 with smp, gets a WU done in about 1 to 2 days.

looks like my Dell P4 1.8, 768mb ram just ran a p3850 1250000 unit in 32 hours.

The computer in the sig does an average WU in three or so days with F@H 5.03.

I have the P4 Northwood overclocked slightly to 3.12Mhz. I just don't have the time right now to put the liquid cooling on it to boost the speed to 3.4~3.5Ghz. I did the 3.4Ghz once with the setup. It's really peppy.

Is your P4 a Northwood or a Preshott?

No idea really. It's a Dell Dimension 4500 that a client gave me. I was working on it, reported to them a bad hard drive, and rather than fix it, they bought a new laptop and gave me the Dell for what they owed me. All I've done to it is replace the hard drive, put my x1600pro, and a 512mb stick of ram I had laying around into it. My oldest son uses it for his "gaming rig" and I let the text only fold away on it.

I've ran into a couple evil ones. 1hr 48m per percent on both text only machines. really cutting into my ppd.

yesterday i started a 5,000,000 step one that was probably about that long, but im trying to do another one
