odd SMP occurrence

Post by The Black Pumpkin »

I've run SMP on the X2 for 7 units now (working on 8), and all but one have finished. (The other one is my fault. )

Anyway, anyone who looks at my stats can tell I have smp going, 1760 here, that there. But in the actual program, it always says it has failed to send results, and the program keeps trying and failing and waiting (and so on) until the deadline is up. But if you look at my score, they have gone through. WTF?!
AMD Opteron 1224SE "Santa Ana" = DFI Lanparty UT NF590 SLI-M2R/G
Crucial Ballistix 4x1GB DDR2 800 = Corsair CMPSU-750TX
Sapphire 4870 1GB = Sceptre X20WG-Naga 20" = Logitech X-530 5.1
Seagate 320GB (SATA II) x2 = Samsung SH-S203B (SATA)

Just -forceasm, and I've only had that on there for a few days. It's been running about two weeks now I think.

You also need to use the "-smp" switch as well!

not unless he's running linux, which I doubt, the windows client for smp is still 5.91. You can't run SMP with the windows client in version 6

add the flag -configonly to your shortcut, remove all other flags.

Then turn "Use IE settings" option to No.

Ok, what about the proxy setting it asks about right after that? (I'm a network n00b, it's everything else that I sorta get  )

standard setting is fine, unless you connect via a proxy. But since you asked, I doubt you do so leave the default

on the computer i was using at school 8-[ , i had to set it through a Proxy(i used the one that it auto sets to when you allow it) and they would send after that; i think because some setting in IE wouldnt let it, and i couldnt change anything(not an admin.) and good news also- i should be folding @ school 24/7 from today until january 3rd or whenever we go back unless someone shuts it off(i told the teach not to shut it off right before i left today) its only a P4 2.0GHz but hey, it still counts
