EOC made an Important Announcement about their F@H stats server and needing a new one... Looks like 125 folks pitched enough money in for a new one though.

well I was going to donate myself and get a team donation going, but he's already raised over what he needed. Think we were a bit late to the party.

yeah... I read it and was going to donate as well. Unfortunately, the timing fell on NOT payday week. Like you said, seems a little late now.

They still need regular donations to cover bandwidth used.

Looks like they built a crazy expensive server and found that it was too loud and hot for a closet they put it in!! So, now they are returning it and going to build a different one... http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/

you should see what they do in my sons school. they have a dedicated air conditioner for thier "server" (what they call there server room is a bunch of p3s with about 100 cheap ass ide drives and raid cards and about 200 yards of cat5 ) and then after it cools that they just dump the hot air into the other classrooms so they dont have to pay for more airconditioners.
