well I fired up my other server... so I got four 3GHz+ quads running full blast right now (16 cores, so 8 SMP WU's at a time)...At 9am I think i'm turning in just over 11,000 points worth of WU's...

Bubba ... don't feel bad, recently a slew of monster machines whirled past me in the last month making me eat a bunch of dust. If they were not there, I would have climbed out of the high 60 ratings on the user list. For now, PCRobot is in my sights.
It's fun having a competitive workout/shootout within the team.

It helps the team overtake other teams to the FIRST PAGE.
We need a goal this year, and the FIRST PAGE is reachable with the WUs and point being chomped on.
Nate, that's some power hitting!
That 780G Gigabyte MOBO keeps looking good right now with a quad!

The best box I got is the test bench and that is busy doing reviews for the next couple days. Other than that all I got is a couple old intel pentium d's, and only 2 of them run 24/7. I need to borg a couple more machines at work. But yeah all you guys sporting quad core machines (multiples there of) have shoved me down 10 spots in the ranks in no time flat.
Need to get that diskless folding going, but I have to set up a DHCP server first.
But hey at least I have some folding

They blew by me so fast, it seemed that I was moving up the charts backwards. Hey, I was since my ranking dropped!
My B-day is coming very soon. I've dropped hints about that Gigabyte 780G to the wife. Only $325 to fully upgrade using my other existing parts.
I wonder if that MOBO is only VISTA or could it run XP Pro.

The IGP may only be VISTA.

Anyone know otherwise?

I'm certain that AMD will support XP to the full, it accounts for 60%+ of their customer base.
Just think about the (potential) OEM market
It will be a sweet investment stev

It will work just fine on XP, you just have to use the
IGP drivers for XP... ATI Hybrid Graphics runs only on the Windows Vista operating systems though, so no Hybrid Graphics for you.

I'm very happy now.
Sorry ...
Back to the topic.
Bubba and the rest of us underdogs need more processing power!

I've got one dual, and I'm managing fine. maybe we should form a team of single DC users, and older legacy CPUs, and make a run at the big boys

Where is the personal glory in a half-the-team-baseed-username

Make people feel better, like they can compete with the big boys, create team unity, make people with just one rig actually join, instead going the hell with it I can never compete
