@Novice, are you running a Folding farm just like some people on AnandTech? I read that someone over there purchased a CPU just to "protect" the motherboard socket.

Come on guys, just run it as a service! I know that you can't setup SMP as a service with the F@H program but you can still add SMP as a service manually. Check this out.DaIceMan wrote:not anymore... On Topic - I'm surprised ken hasn't weighed in on this (highly controversial

Re: Ken's the devil!
will not run as a service on my machine. I set it up, and it wouldn't work. Gave me some kind of Unable to start service message every time.

666, 888, it's just a number. Speaking of numbers, we as a team have to get more than 20+ people making up most of the points if we are going to get in the top 100. We are down to 37 active members.
This is what we need to focus on. More people folding for Legit Reviews. Let's try to get on the first page by the end of the year.

Either more folders for the team or team members being able to recruit more machines to fold from. I have two neighbors who have DSL with PS3 boxes. If I do this really neat favor for one of them, they will fold on their PS3 for my ID and the LR team.

Another team my brother knows has a skills-trade school folding for their them between the hours of 9pm and 6am. That's 78 machines kicking out WUs for that team. This gives an output of about 12,000 points per every 18hours for them (every two days ... 9hrs per day). All of the machines are under one ID of the team member folding for them besides his farm at home. He should break almost 3 million points in one year.

If people on the LR team can snag a few extra people to fold for us or help out with their ID for LR, we would do better too.
