In two days will be folding for one year

My question is: What has all this done in the last year? Really would like to hear some feedback, because I feel like it is more about points than a cure. Please give me a reason to fold for another year. What has been done lately? I just went on to folding at home web site. What has been done in 2008? It seems like a lot of questions need to be asked and answered. Maybe all the folding should be shared to whoever wants the info. Is this the case or not?

research takes time. even if they had all the information available to them, the researchers would still have to make those connections that end up as epiphanies. at least thats how i see it

Each WU that is completed is like a puzzle piece. The more WUs completed, the better the picture is seen.
If you had X many WUs done in a year, how much of the picture is completed?
Faster machines will arrive at a picture that is more completed than slower ones.
The big question is, are we working on a 100 piece easy puzzle or a 100,000 piece puzzle? Chances are, in this medical research, it's a very big puzzle or Stanford would have solved this on a few super computers already.
As the saying goes, stay in the fight and be a good solider! That is keep up the good work and effort. For all you know, you or a loved one may benefit someday from what is being seen in this picture of a puzzle piece. Hopefully it will turn out as a master piece.

I have had the same thoughts actually. I have been folding for a while now ( cant find my start date ), but I never hear of much coming out of it. You would think wit hthe amount of time people have put into this, there would be some sort of breakthrough that could be directly linked to F@H. I figured once the PS3 started folding, they would be releasing something important, but it hasnt happened.
Oh well, I soldier on for now, but the lack of any kind of evidence to show it has helped is making me rethink also.

You are not alone ;)
Oh and puzzles should be solved once the project number is done ;)

KnightRid your first record was 12.17.05. That's a long time folding!
