just waiting on the quad core system to arrive, and then Dan you better figure out something else. Mom and Dad's low end dual core should be up by the end of the week as well.

Well in terms of upping the game, I found a way to get 3 SMP clients going on the mac so :finga:

What you two fail to realise is that EOC hasn't had chance to catch up with my real PPD yet, which by my estimates is currently at 8k.

Having said that I've lost 10 hours worth of folding on two SMP clients this afternoon, as the ethernet cable got knocked out of the wall, which caused the clients to error out :(
I've tried to secure it now, but it could happen again..

And I'm not sure how long I am going to be able to keep up this monster folding effort as I actually need to use the machines that it's folding on, so will have to pause clients if it gets in the way of work. I'm not really supposed to leave them on over weekends either :snakeman:

But enjoy the chase while it's on

hmm, I should put an annoucement at the top of LR Folding to tell all user not to help dan, what do you think martini? Or maybe we should join forces to help whoever is going to get runover first. :snakeman:

Or we could split this into a folding war. Split the team up into willing participants. Fold for X amount of days or X amount of points. Everyone keeps there name, just have to keep track of points. I could perhaps poney up a USB HD TV-Tuner as a price for the folder that fulfills some criteria.

Everyone stays folding for LR (38296) under their current folding name, but we have teams of people (probably fairly evenly matched in total ppd output) and have a race.

The scores would be kept track of separately (tallied in Excel or something) like when we had that forum wide folding competition.

And the winners get something special?

This is cool, I need to get my main rig/rigs up and running folding again. I've been messing with stuff a lot and tried out gpu folding on my x1800xt for a while. It seems to slow my main rig down too much and I use it all the time for school/work/gaming, but I now Have 3 other AMD 64 machines in my basement doing nothing which could be churning out some points for me, not enough to catch up, but close to my original numbers at least. When/if I build a whole new computer I will definitely be folding more.
