Merging?

I was talking to deadly app about folding@home as its usually what i talk to him about. I'm a moderator and creator of team 40826 or Xoxide Forums@home team. I am also a new admin on atomicifire.net and plan on extending the Xoxide Forums Folding@home team. I see how you have about 600k points and average about 1500 points per day. So, i got to thinking, do you want to merge with Xoxide Forums Folding team? In theory, this would allow us to combine points and basically take on the large teams. This is a rough idea, but it would get the combined team about 7k/day of points

I'll leave this one up to Nate as the Folding team is his baby...but i'm thinking theres no chance he'd want to merge with another team.....though this is all for a good cause, Legit takes a lot of pride in how far the folding team has come in such a short time.

Only way it would work is if we kept the legit name.

then i think Xoxide Forums should alslo have its name in there like Xoxide/Legit/Atomicfire.net or something like that. Maybe we can call up stanford if the powers at LegitForums says yeah. Personally, i wouldnt mind...

Yeah I'd agree on merging since I used to fold for XFN. The team name would HAVE to stay the same though so we could keep the points.

No thanks on the merging offer. We're years behind in the race for the top spots where the teams started folding years ago. Folding for Legit Reviews is all about building community and working for a good cause. I have a degree in Biology and have encountered many people in my family and community that are fighting cancer and Alzheimer's. If I can do anything to help others (and even us) later, then I consider the team a success. I already consider our team a success with our 5,219 processed work units. Since it is thousands of wu's closer to better understanding the assembly of proteins.

It's good to have goals (team points), but merging just offers braggin rights for ranks and thats not what it is about for Legit Reviews. I do thank you for thinking of us though!
