I know the two of you are fixing or rebuilding you rigs, but how long does it take? I hope everything is fine and the two you come back and fold like you never did before. I am wishing you the best ! Both of you! Good Luck! Hope to see you folding soon! [-o<

yeah... Ever hear of a fellow named Murphy (murphy's law)? Seems every strange complication that could pop up, did. I pretty much have all the sytems back up now and should be folding by the weekend.

Still need a flexible SLI bridge (if anyone has any laying around) to get the full potential of my SLI rig. And the others I just need to get everything stress tested and make sure they are solid before i start crushing work units again. Finally finished up baseball season with my sons last night, so 3 nights a week are going to be freed up to get stuff done.

Folding Team 38296. How about giving a helping hand. I wish I could help the two of you out. Glad to hear that everything is cool. I hope that DaIceMan children played well. Martini161 I hope you are getting some waves. Anyway, Looking forward to all the WU and points that the two of you are going to post. Family is first! Peace of mind is second. Everything else is third. 8)

I'm in the process of building a new rig. Check out my thread in the modding section.

I should have some big points coming in soon since I'll use my 9600GT to help fold when it's idle.

well, for the time being, I have 2 8800GTX's, 1 9600GSO, and 1 (of 2) 8800GTs running right at 20k ppd... give or take 100 ppd either way from step to step.

Hope to figure out why my SLI board won't recognize the other 88GT and get that sorted and dropping another 5k there for a nice round 25k ppd.

no luck on the SLI bridge getting the other card recognized (thanks for the bridge DS!!). Asus has given up helping and just gave me the canned "contact the RMA department" rap on the last ticket. Guess I'll be tearing it down this weekend and shipping it back early next week. I'm debating right now if I should order a replacement as I wouldn't expect any miracle turnarounds from Asus considering they take 5 days to reply to emails.

Of course, I'll have to buy an SLI board to get both cards running... but when the board gets back from RMA, I'll have to build another machine with SLI cards and I'm sure my wife will kill me for sure.

well it wasnt exactly yesterday that i said id get them up tommorow but better late then never :) so far i have:
lapped cpu and waterblock
made wiremanagment holes in the case
painted the inside black (still need to buy some more paint to finish)
and cut a hole for my rad on the top of my case
here are the pics:

sorry thats a terrible picture, i only have a point and shoot camera with no manual focus :( i only got it flat, didnt worry about mirror finish. flat is what really matters any way
Image
yeah i did a total hack job :P
Image
there is a good reason for those drips! as soon as i ran out of paint, a sudden afternoon thunderstorm rolled thru (and i painted out side, wife doesnt let me paint in side but thats a whole nother fairly humorous story :D ) so i had to move the case before the paint got any chance to dry :( but its black and on the inside of the case so its not to huge a deal

What did you cut the top with... a butter knife? I kid, I kid. Nice start. Can't wait to see it all come together.

LOL. If my peer pressure in any way made your build better... then I'll take the rap for being the bad guy. ;)

Looking good. I'm hoping to start my case mods in a couple weeks, complete with work log, so you'll have your chance to get back at me then. ;)
