Well looks like the bearings on one of my gfx fans took a crap so I had to shut down the rig until next week. Not sure which one wont have a time to fix it until monday or tuesday. So there goes about 11-12000 ppd

Ugh! Hate to hear it. Get it back up as soon as possible... let us know if you need any help.

I am very sorry to hear that. I wish that I was more help. Just would like to everyone to know that I am just a cook. I do what I can. How many rigs were you running? Do you think it would be wise to keep things stock for awhile? Must watch those temps. Maybe some compressed air once a week would not hurt. I hope you are back up and running A.S.A.P. As for me I'm just waiting for the next lastest and greatest thing to come out. I know I don't have the points right now, but don't worry I will be building a rig as soon as some new parts come out. I am just waiting. Good luck and I hope your rig comes back real soon!

Just think of the electric bill that will be much lower.

It will be simple enough to get it up and running. Just need to get a new fan I believe. The only issue is I am in Vegas for a training seminar and my rig is back in Chicago. I'll be back late sunday night so I should be able to get it up and running on 1 card when I get back, and hopefully both by tuesday

Those points aren't off of one card. I have 2 9800 gtx's in that rig just didn't have time yesterday to remove one, therefore both cards are shut down until Monday when I get back. (just noticed that my sig only says one card will fix that right now)

I am definitely more of a south side fan. Though I will be happy to see the north side do well as long as its not against the south side. :finga:

WooHoo! Southside all the way!! I'd love to see Phillies ChiSox in the WS (since the Cardinals fell down this year).

Alathald, your pretty smart. Natasha is a computer programmer and I'm just a cook :) Didn't think anyone was going to get it. I have only been on Legit Reviews for like over a one and half to two years or more

What cooler would be best for my 9800gtx. Thinking about adding a second loop in for the gfx cards but that will be a bit in the future so I need something good for low cost. All opinions welcome. :)

Arctic Cooling Accelero S1. :P

Works great even passive, throw on a spare fan and it works awesomely.

Dan

PS. Though it becomes a triple slot solution when fans are thrown into the mix, and its probably not a good idea to run something as hot as a 9800GTX on passive, so have you got the spave?

I've got the space on the top card, not sure if it will fit on the bottom card. Gonna have to take a look at it monday when i get back. I'm afraid that anything that I put on the bottom card is gonna have some airflow issues due to the bottom of the case.

They are probably not cheap, but maybe you are going to have to look into one of those thermalright coolers that can be put hanging over the back (top) of the card.
