SMP Questions

Post by geokilla »

Is it better to run MPICH or DEINO? I might be giving SMP a try but I'm worried that it won't finish the WU in time since it's on only 8+ hours during the weekdays. Would it have a big impact on my 9600GT?

Just fold with the GPU2 client. You need a quad core to run SMP and GPU2. The GPU2 client needs one core for itself.

I am second to that ... You can run GPU2 client along with one CPU client (not SMP).
If you use Windows Vista, you can have 2 clients for CPU and 1 for GPU ... cuz GPU2 client uses very little cpu resource on Vista......
