New rig up and running

Well, I posted around 0100 but maybe I didn't hit submit. I finally got the wife's rig running last night, but I think the automatic windows updates rebooted it sometime this morning. Anyway, she's up for now and folding.
CPU: E7200
MB: ASUS P5N - D
RAM: 4GB Corsair XMS2
HSF: Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro
GPU: Two 9600 GSO
PSU: Corsair HX620W
Case: Silverstone Lascala
OS: Win XP Pro 32bit
I think I may need to cut a hole above the vid cards, not a lot of room for airflow right around them. Maybe just a vent right above them will do the trick.

Nice looking rig. One of the first things I do is set Windows to alert me of updates, but not to download or install. Of course, this increases my responsibility to get updates done promptly, but saves me work units and folding time.
How's that P5N-D? It's the board that replaced my SLI board. Was hoping to get one on my RMA, but they just sent mine back.

Yeah, the automatic updates have screwed me over more than once on WU's. Gotta love it, sitting at work and checking my stats and no updates for 6 hours. Now I check the rig every morning before going to work, making sure it didn't auto-restart on me.

Well, I don't have a lot of time with the P5N-D. I installed one in a buddy's rig about a month ago and it was fairly painless. The only snag we ran into was BSODs due to the optical SATA drive. What I did to correct that was not install the NVIDIA media pack thingy. Since I uninstalled that it has worked flawlessly.
My install from last night went flawlessly, no hiccups at all! I know some folks like problems and look at it as a challenge. Personally I don't want any goofy issues when putting a rig together. Not that I don't mind the challenge, but it's just an annoyance getting the rig going.
So I guess what I'm trying to say is that other than the optical SATA drive not playing nice with the NVIDIA MB software I have no complaints!

I know how that goes. On my XFX motherboard, I had to update the BIOS to recognize my Q6600, and it could only be done with an IDE drive... which I didn't have any. Ended up running cables out the side of the box and sitting an IDE DVD drive out there so I could get the update installed.
Sometimes, I don't mind the challenges either, but I'm like you... when it's time to go, it's time to go, especially when I need to get Folding before I go to bed.
