Is that SMP client? Is HT enabled? Heard it makes a difference
Oh, and you're crazy, spending so much money on Core i7.
Edit: Just noticed it's an ES....

I have the HT off for the moment, didn't want to mess around with setting up two instances, it was to late in the day when I decided to set up the SMP. Still researching the best way to set it up. From what I have seen there are some getting 6K PPD from one. For the life of me I can't make heads or tails of how they are setting it up to take advantage of the HT.
Tax return I'm planing on getting one of my own, messing with this for the last week and makes my piddly P4 look like uber crap LOL

Defiantly need to figure out how to set up dual SMP with the HT. I started the machine at around 3pm (give or take a few minutes) and the first unit showed up this morning. So figure aprox 13 hours per unit. Will be interesting to see what is a full 24hrs. At the moment this is running a single instance of SMP with no HT. Thinking about getting a small drive to load Ubuntu on and boot to when the system is not testing stuff, they are able to use the -SMP 8 flag and say that its working rather well. But if I can get dual SMP running with HT, that would be easier then swapping drives all the time.
Here is the ID I'm using, wanted to keep it separate from my main folding for now.

I think there's a thread at the folding forums about this guy running i7 with HT enabled. Maybe you can ask him?
Oh watch out for your temps with HT enabled. Apparently, enabling HT will cause the temps to increase by a bit due to increased loads or something.

Well got to my office this morning and found out why it stopped after the first unit. There was a core communications error of some kind. I have one more cooler to test, once I'm done with that I start playing with this this again.

bubba, how is the SMP client working? I finished one WU and it started another one and it crashed after 5%. I'm scratching my head trying to figure out if it is my rig or the program.

Might try that tomorrow or Wednesday, got 5 instances of single client console running on it now. The ETA on them is tomorrow about this time.

I just went over to the F@H site and made a post for the first time. Not to happy with the results. The person that responded to me was really talking down to me.
http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=6642 Please tell me if I was over the top. Thanks, victor/natasha.

I'm surprised they let that go on in that forum. FAH forums has really gone down hill. Just download the new files, and overwrite your old ones. Its just that simple

Thanks dicecca112, We had already figured that out, we just wanted to make it clear for the average joe. As far as letting me on that site. Yea, I am supprised that I was able to talk. On the other hand, I didn't expect to be talked down to by somebody on that site. I was just trying to make it more clear for people that do not have alot of computer experience. I Was just trying to help.

I will not go on that site again.
