Welp looks like my points are gonna decrease yet again :( Living room computer went POP last evening. PS is shot and more - I am waiting for the MB INtel is sending for the replacement to test in the system to see if the MB and PS went at the same time. It is scheduled to be delivered on Monday and I have NEVER had UPS deliver ANYTHING early! Seems they will let the stuff sit in a warehouse rather than deliver it faster for some reason.

ARGH!!!

Oh and for more good news - my water cooling pump seems to be making some weird noises every once and a while :(

Mike

main computer needed MB, now the living room computer needs a PS and more (wont know till I get the MB Monday) and maybe my water cooling is gonna die..LOL - you gotta laugh or you would go insane ](*,)

My condolences for your POP!

I'm beginning to wonder if theres something in the air or major solar flares or something!?! Between myself and most of the people I know that computers are a big part of their life are having hardware failures galore the last couple weeks.
I have 2 of mine that have problems and I'm helping two others with problems they are having!
Its getting ridiculous!

Ya my friend's computer which is like a month or 2 old seems to be BSODing nonstop according to him. He's using Windows XP Pro SP3 too, exactly what I'm using. And to make things worse, his monitor seems to have died as well, and his family is going to be getting a new car soon since their current one is leaking oil.

new car because its leaking?? mine has leaked a couple different fluids for almost as long as i've been alive, we've fixed antifreeze problems a couple times, the head covers leak currently, along with the power steering pump, thats what i know of...

hope everything works out knight

Well his car is pretty old....and they dumped a lot of money fixing it. His dad says he's tired of fixing it so they'll probably get a Corolla or w/e.

Did you change your username? I think you did...

@Knight. What computer you got in your living room?

thanx for the inspiration :)

Hopefully the living room computer just needs a new MB and cpu, but if the CPU went, I might not have it up and running for a couple months :( I want to see if I can take the video card and put it upstairs on the water cooling setup since it is that 9600GSO that can fold pretty good, if it still works!

Welp I got the MB yesterday, but even with the Mb and power supply she is still in the dark :( I guess I will be down a computer for now. I might be getting i7 next month, dunno yet, so then I can have 3 computers folding again.

Also I still want to try and take the video card out and put it in the water cooled system to see if I can at least get that folding again - if it still works, and if I can keep the water cooled one running - shut of a couple times for no reason and makes a nasty noise sometimes - dont know if it is the pump or not.

Mike

Such is life - just go with the flow I guess...
