Just noticed my ppd went down the toilet

Post by KnightRid »

It seems the cat decided to walk on the Core i7 computer whos case (Cooler Master HAF-932) I am beginning to HATE because it has the friggin power button on the TOP - ARGH

I have to now find a monitor to hook it up to, so I can see to log back on :( I never installed teamviewer since it will be getting the Windows 7 makeover once my disc arrives. My points might be down for a bit till my cousin brings back my monitor I use for my testing unless i can drag it close enough to another tv or monitor to get it hooked up - *sigh*

Beast of a case that works GREAT, jsut that damn power button PISSES ME OFF :p

Tape a small hunk of cardboard/plexi over the button.

Can you place a book on top of the case to cover up the power button? Or can you place it on it's side so the cat can't press it?

Like bubba said fabricate a cover for it, maybe one of those wire tops off an ale bottle or something. Maybe you can set the system to only go in sleep mode when the power button is pressed, that way you just hit it again to bring it out.

I will have to tape something over it - its just a pain in the arse! Why oh WHY would you put a power button on TOP of a case, especially when it is a flat top - maybe raised on a panel of connectors, but not flat!

no cables will reach from the monitors to the computer, so without ripping a monitor out of its location, my ppd will be down till I can get my other monitor back :(
