Dan,

I'm not sure just what to yet, but i think my average needs to tweaked, possibly down to 2k, past three days have been either 0 or A SMP unit on my E7200 since one of my GSO's went down, and i can't get the other one folding right even

I can see why Nate gave up trying to sort out balanced teams :P

I've got to sort out standby/team g swaps, (and by the looks of it take team F down a peg :P ) tomorrow so I shall see if i can do something with you then.

Ok Team C... I'm trying to get parts up and running around here. I don't have a case and I just got the ram back (loaner to keep a client running), but I'm trying to resurrect the twins *Gigabyte 8800GT's* on a tabletop setup. I have a couple other things I'm working on for clients, but I'm trying to squeeze getting these up at the same time.

HTPC / Folder - Palit 9600GT 1GB Sonic | AMD Phenom 9600 | Corsair DHX 4GB | ECS GF8200A | OCZ StealthXStream 500
Thanks to Palit, AMD, Corsair and ECS for sponsoring the 2008 Folding Give-away!

I am not sure how the points listed on Fahmon relate to actual points you get when the job finishes. I am sure that some jobs are better to cancel and hope for another one that gives more points. In my case I am more concerned about how many points I would loose if I tried to get the other type of client ( can't remember its name) running. Geokilla has said the other client is much more efficient and folds much better , not sure why no one on my team told me that while I have been fighting with SMP for two days. I don't know if the other client could catch up to where I am now and finish a hard job faster or if I should keep running what I have and make the change when this job is finished. The job I am on now is due to finish in 2 days and will give me 1920 points + any bonus I get for beating the deadline. What should I do? Keep folding with the SMP client or stop it and install the other one?

Why would you wanna throw out your current WU? You're doing this for research. Points and competition is just a plus to it. At least to me. And you're talking bout the Notfred client. Just keep your current Windows SMP, finish it, then install the Notfred client if you wish.

Normal clients don't get a bonus. Only if you're running a Core i7 with the -bidadvmethods do you get bonus.

I advise you to check out the folding stickies, the folding forum, EVGA's folding section, and Hardware Canucks folding section. Lots of good information there, though you might be reading a lot of stuff that you read before this way.

That's it, I need to push my Q6600, I can get 3.6ghz easy

Well, 3.4 anyway. 2.6 BSOD'd and I don't want it to be without folding for very long.

I must agree with Trace here. Not that anyone asked but I think its a bad idea to "take team F down a peg". I understand wanting to get people that said they were going to fold that for some reason can't off of a team and give that team a new folder to give them a fighting chance, but to take a team down a peg because they are running away with it will only yield bad feelings and questions about the validity of the "contest". Do what you will of course...I personally would not have a problem if you gave the last place team the points their inactive folders were supposed to produce until replacements can be added.

I guess you have to what you think is fair. I just think you should be aware of the fact that my PPD did not go up because I was sandbagging. I have overclocking every card in my house to the max.......my 8800 gts is running shaders at1980 mhz, the only card in my house not overclocked is my XFX 260 Black Edition wich is HEAVILY overclocked from factory. I have also worked my but off getting friends to fold on thier machines...one of wich may keep doing it after the contest is over. Agian...do what you think you have to...just don't counterfeit all of my teams hard work just because we are in the lead. I am not complaining...just pleading our case. Have a good day all and.....FOLD ON.
