I took the opportunity with my mass of servers to work on some of my bash *NO* skills. Since I have over 20 servers now I needed a way to check where they were all at and if they were working. Since they are all linux boxes I added SSH KEYS to them all and went at it. Here is an example of the output from the script:

$ ./2statfah
*****fah1==========
Progress: 26% [||________]
Download time: December 11 10:38:35
*****fah2==========
Progress: 91% [|||||||||_]
Download time: December 10 23:18:08
*****fah3==========
Progress: 0% [__________]
Download time: December 11 08:06:42
*****fah3:2*****
Progress: 94% [|||||||||_]
Download time: December 11 04:37:51
*****fah4:D==========
Progress: 0% [__________]
Download time: December 11 18:34:36

It was extremely simple to make, I just had to make adjustments since not every single servers directory layout is the same. :( I didnt do that until later on. Again it was a really simple script:

Code: Select all

echo *****fah1========== ; ssh [email protected] 'less /root/unitinfo.txt | grep Progress ; less /root/unitinfo.txt | grep Download'
I just did that for every server and it outputs it. However, I am finding the unitinfo.txt file isnt accurate. On the servers that say 0% are actually like at 68% or 95%. Soooooo, maybe someone has some ideas. But for now it sure beats logging into each server individually.

The only thing I'll complain about is that someone 10 days in, with only 2 days reporting for a total of 131 points could win a 200.00 CPU (team F) - as for the rest, im really happy and excited that we are all making such a huge contribution to science, and competition aside, this is totally awesome that we can all pull this off. Good job to everyone participating! we all rock no matter what :supz:

totally agree - that guy should be removed from the competition (in this case competition is an overstatement)

One of my team mates asked to get him changed, but we had a 10,000 point lead so we were told that was not gonna happen...and I thought that was the correct answer to that question. Now that we have a 100,000+ point lead I don't think that answer should change just cause it looks like it no longer matters. I do see your point and agree that it is a rather strange situation...but I think the time to change him has come and gone and he is part of the team. I would feel better about it if he weould post a statur report or some points...he is folding on a turion lap top...so points could take some time if he got a larger unit.

I want to give props to my team "B" for all being actual at home folders and putting up some good points. none of us has 30 servers or whatever going.. the team is collectively putting up good numbers. we dont have one member doing 70%+ of the points.

Ok, this is an official warning. I'm fed up with all the QQ and bitching in this thread.

It ends here.

You're moaning about people who have the capability to outfold you making this competition unfair, and yet are perfectly happy to turn around and kick someone out who is folding on the best they have available just because their points aren't anything near what you can put out.

Granted there's a fine line between if they're still folding or have given up at this point, and if they haven't returned any more WU's by the time the competition is up, it will be re-evaulated as to their eligibility for winning (provided their team wins).

On side note....the Legit tem got 559,000 yesterday. I think we all need to remember why this contest was created...to make points. I hope eveyone will resist the urge to slow down because they think there is no point. It's about the points...my boxes are cranked and folding for all they are worth. Lets se if we can make 650,000 points a day.
