I have an i7 with a motherboard that does sli...I just though it would be to much of a hit in points if I put 2 cards in that system. I assume I would have to fold on 7 cores instead of 8. I also have a tri sli board coming back from Asus (RMA)...but it would need a 775 CPU and I'm done throwing money at folding for a while. I guess when they come in I will just have to tear apart 3 sytems and rearrange the parts so my plan will work...sigh. That's life when you leap and then look.

And I'm still waiting for a -bigadv bonus.. :(

...live in tech support. By the sounds of it though...if it was a war between us I think you would win...sounds like you would win on the money side of things. That said...lets see how many points we can rack up :)

edit:I just read the rest of you post....yikes. If that box is just for folding though...you are spending alot of extra money you don't need to.

Don't worry, she likes computers very quiet when she is home. You are giving me a great reason that I need to build a new rig. Fold on :) :supz: As far as tech support, I would rather learn from you guys. Must be a guy thing. She tries to teach me but I can't pick it up fast enough so I get pisssed off.

, This is going to be her birthday gift from me. It is going to replace my first build, a Intel QX6700. She needs a really fast and quiet computer for when she works from home to connect to her work computers at her job, (she has three). If I can get some folding done, all the better.
