WTF = Want To Fold?

I was just looking at the Team user info and noticed we only have 27 active folders, what happened to everyone?

It's hard to keep people active...

The past few folding wars I have given out nearly a dozen video cards, but of those winners only a few have stuck around.

Not only that. My new gtx570 does not impress me as a folding monster. Kind of lame if you ask me.

If I were everyone I'd get back to folding...

Does anyone know how the GTX 560 Ti's do in folding?

My dedicated folder is the machine that I won the 965BE from the previous folding war. My son's been using it to play his star wars game as of late though so it's been out of commission.

Unfortunately, my lack of folding is due to lack of funding. If we do a folding war I may throw down a few points, but like last time I'll opt out of prizes

Lack of funding, cant run my folding boxes at work anymore. Might see if that policy has changed, but with just the heat for my place set at 65*F is running me 200-250 a month right now. Downside to an all electric house.

Hey, if none of us had a "funding problem" why would we even be having a discussion about holding 73rd place? We would be passing 50th place with ease. We fold with what we can! I might look for a good CPU/GPU upgrade if we can swing it. Might even just go with a PSU/GPU since my board is only a G35 NB and 775's aren't cost effective any more.

Just waiting on hearing if AMD will be donating anything this time around... The e-mail has been moved around internally, but until I can get a yes or no I can't get motherboards donated as I don't know what we have to work with here.

Just pinged AMD and they are still waiting...

Looks like this just got postponed till March... Since it's a public contest they need to use retail boxed CPU's, so they have to get a PO and corporate approval.

sweet!....well its not like anyone is going to stop folding till the contest........more time to get others in the folding fold for the contest
