March Folding Contest: XFX GeForce 6600 PCI Express GPU
For our active folders I'm offering up something out of my personal stash. I have a brand new XFX GeForce 6600 PCI Express Video Card.
To enter the contest post up on this thread and be active for all of March on the folding team.
On April 1st (no joke) I'll announce the winner off those who enter this thread!
Go Team #38296

Hmm - only way I could use it is if I would win that motherboard contest, and then a cpu contest also..lol
How about - throw me in the hat, but if I win, sell it on ebay or anywhere and put that as a donation to the site from me - would that work?

ok ok ok you guys have me!! ok i will start folding for you guys. I need one with a gui so i can exit it when i play games and such. I will believe you when you say it throttles and doesnt take up processor speed when in use.
Count me in and link me up where i can get it.
is there a minimum processor speed for this? I have an old dell with a 600celeron server i can put it on that runs 24/7.
Just proud to support you guys!

ANY CPU will do!
download here
http://folding.stanford.edu/download.html
You CAN also use the console version.....choose the option to run it as a service so it run's in the backround
Then creat a simple batch file
enter
NET STOP "the name of your folding service" ---> THIS IS TO STOP FOLDING
NET START "the name of your folding service" ---> THIS IS TO START AGAIN (OR JUST REBOOT)
You can check the name of the service via start / Run / type "services.msc"
Welcome to the team!!!!
my batch file says NET STOP "FAH@C:+Folding+FAH504-Console.exe"
:edit:
Dragon_Cooler --> you could run 1 graphical clicent and 1 as a service ;)
