CPU heats up during folding

Hi
My CPU is going up to 58c during folding, should I be concerned?
System:
ASUS A8R32 MVP Deluxe
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400
OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC3200
2x 74GB Western Digital Raptor SATA
Sony DRU-810a DVD-RW
Sapphire ATI X1800XT
Audigy 2 ZS Gamer PCI
Windows XP Pro SP 2
FSP Group FX600W

My proc runs at 50c all the time. I've never had a problem.

Ya, don't be concerned at 58. If you can add a fan or aftermarket heatsink/fan it would help. Make sure your heatsink isn't clogged with dust too. But no, I wouldn't be worried until mid 60s.(But I try to keep my stuff under 50)

My 3200+ idles at 35'C with folding at 40%. I would just add another fan.

58c is hot... but folding will do that its going to raise your temps quite a bit and is why i have most of my folding computers under water
even then they run warm my dual Xeon 3.0 runs at 50c and my X2 runs at 45c while folding.

I have five 120mm fans in this case (Theremaltake Shark) and there is no way to add more. I am really uncomfortable having my CPU that hot.

what kind of heatsink do you have?
also if its too hot you can reduce your load to 75% or 50% in your user.cfg file.

Stock heat sink that came with the x2 4400+. I am going to try this ( 75% or 50% in your user.cfg file.).

Hmm, make sure your fans are set up good. Put some smoke infront of an intake and see if it exhausts quickly, or if it stays in the case for awhile. You can only do this if you have a window of course. Those stock heatsinks on the dual-core line are pretty good, my temps only went down by 1c when I put an aftermarket cooler on it.

defintely an aftermarket heatsink/fan would make a difference!! If you have the extra bucks sometime, that would be a wise investment.
