Folding questions
hi, i have 2 spare PC's both are P4's but one runs Vista Beta 2 and the other Windows 2000 NT
i would like to know if the folding software is compatiable on these 2 pC's
i know i could get 1 P4 to run all day because i have fitting a zalman 7000-Cu into it the other will have to take a rest in the night.

Are you using the console version?
If so, pick this little piece of software here http://fahmon.silent-blade.org/
It's called FahMon and it will give you information about the WU you're working on, like status, points, ETA, etc.

If you need help configuring it, just shoot a question

Wow guys, you're all welcome! I'm glad that I have introduced you to a very useful software for folding!
By the way, there is another alternative to Fahmon, it's named Electron Microscope III. I don't use it personally but other members of my team seem to like it much. Pick it up here if you are interested: http://www.em-dc.com/

Well for one advantage, the console version uses less resource than the graphic one because it is stripped down. The only disadvantage of the console is that you do not see what the software is doing visually, unlike the graphic who has some pretty images of the WU. But this can be easily remedied with Fahmon or by checking the logRofl-Mic-Lofl wrote:Is there any advantages/disadvantages in using console version to the other graphics one?
