well....I have have 10 in a farm here...all network booted. that does not include 6 other single crunchers. (16 total at my place + whatever Cypher has at his place...9+)

My Crunchers:

8.778GHz Folding Farm(100% high priorty)
1 dual-core 3.2GHz 64bit (running two instances)(100% high priorty)
1 Duron 1.0GHz(50% high priorty)
1 Celeron 2.4GHz(100% high priorty)
1 P4 1.4GHz(100% high priorty)
1 P4 1.8GHz(100% high priorty)

25+ cpus. Hmm someone want to alert the the Teams ranked above us to look the out or should be just sneak up on them, and steamroll over them. :drinkers: for you guys. Great job.

P3s, P4s (some 64bit), and a couple of AMD 64s.

Nice, Nice. Sounds good. (Sends email to CS Professor begging to have permission to borg CS department computers)

LOL...this is not all we have access to.

Yeah, but i don't have a farm of machines, so the best i can hope for is the fastest single system. I have 1 cpu of the conroe working and one gpu client(which also uses a cpu), and since Stanford has increased teh points/WU for teh gpu client my production should increase a fair bit...now only if i could run TWO GPU clients..... :snakeman:

hey whatever you can produce is greatly appreciated. We'll challenge the big teams in due time. Remember every folder started with one CPU.

I have access to a few other machines, but those will come online AFTER teh contest. :finga: Not dropping my AVG...NO WAY! I should be in the top spot by tomorrow. only not in it now becasue SOMEONE submitted a 600pointer very early yesterday. I didn't start the client until 12am of the contest start

well that wasn't very smart, Apoptosis gave a half week plus warning, so your rigs could be in full swing. But timing is everything.

Yes, i guess. I'm pretty sure i got the most powerful system, although no clocks on DMB's system, which is watercooled, and I'm on air. gonna have to go buy a waterblock for my cpu. Otherwise it should be a walk in the park...

DMB only having one cpu reporting that much points in one day is....insane. Only way it's possible...well...I haven't seen a conroe yet @ that speed, except for on DI and LN2.

I mean really, i could turn in a bunch of WU's tha are only partially completed from another machine, and finish them on this one, BUT THAT WOULD BE CHEATING, and is easy to detect  .

I was lucky with that 600 pointer yesterday

Cheating isnt good :P

Dan

*edit* are you running 2 cpu's and an ATI GPU client? :P

Will be bringing the coporate server farm online within the next day or so.

Yeah, I noticed that a 1000point per CPU average is insane. It'll level off soon. Sometimes the CPUs read low or high. For example, I'm listed at 8cpus, and at most I have 4 cpus working for me. So, it'll all level out. I keep checking his CPU count and expecting to see 2. But its not. Oh well. Finally EOC updated, back to the spreadsheet

uh, one cpu client and one gpu client, for 2 total clients. gpu client uses a full cpu just keeping teh gpu fed with data. So what's your clocks at there, mate?

I thought that I had read where the GPU client also uses 50% of your computers processor also?

Yeah, it does I believe, maybe be more, but either way, it significantly slows down certain CPU work units.

Nice to here more servers are going up. We might just be able to double our teams daily production. Good job guys.

sure, for data shuffling, but not for number crunching.

So, anyway, technically I have only one cpu crunching, and one gpu, but it reports it as two cpu's, so, either way....

I'm glad it does that, because if it didn't you'd be leaded DMB by 200+ points in Points/CPU.

By tomorrow i will, hopefully.

LoL. I'll be turning in another GPU WU in another hour and 12 minutes, and a cpu one before the night's out, most likely. abt 9hrs for a gpu WU, @ 330pts a piece, plus one CPU client on Conroe @ 3.5ghz is ALOT of power.

To make it quite obvious...with just a smidgen over 200 vidcards folding, thier total crunching power is more than ALL the MAC and linux boxes folding...

it would take a mere 2700 or so x1900's to out-crunch the total number of machines folding for stanford. that's abt 200,000 machines.

Like ATI touted earlier, that's a huge increase!

So, like I said, a walk in the park.

And yes, if i win, the card will fold for legit until the day it dies. I'll toss it in the wife's rig, who only play scrabble and such abt once a week...

I wanna break into the top 1000 contributors for stanford. Doesn't matter which team i do it with, and I'll need all the help i can get. I started this "conquest" in 2003, and have only broken into the top 4500 or so...

Yeah i think its more the work units ive been lucky in folding so far, with the 600 WU i was at just over 14min per frame :P

Maybe there's a performance boost from having the CPU dynamic cache mostly assigned to just one app?

And with the rate you are crunching, my lead looks to be short lived! Stick with LR folding, and i wont mind loosing the card to you :P
