The thought occurred to me to do this, after seeing it done successfully many times on another nameless forum.

The setup is simple.

You have two captains and a list of "combatants"

The two captains pick from the list and then we try to balance the two teams so that the PPD is as close to equal as possible.

We fold for a a set period, usually a month works well.

Borging and smack talk are encouraged.

The way the captains will be chosen is by nomination and by a poll. In the case of the tie, I will put it to the mods and admins to break it.

Nominations can be in this thread or via PM.

Possible Prizes

Now I can't offer anything other than pride with this, but I might be able to sway Apoptosis to let me give some people custom titles perhaps.

Of course I'll take care of the stats again. I mean just adding the daily totals of each team should be easier than the Folding Contest. I think I got carpel tunnel from that.

We should make sigs for the opposing teams to display... I could do a little something once we decide how the teams are named.

id be down for that. i dont put up numbers near what some of you all put up...but i would contribute.

pcrobot sigs would be call, but I'd have to beakerize it of course

I don't think you guys realize that being captain is very simple. I send you a list of combatants. You guys pick people so you have equal teams. I check them so the PPD is equal. I send you the file list. I post them, and the folding war begins. I keep track of stats. Winning Teams captain gets the pride of being the winner of the first folding war.

i say beaker (dicecca112 for those not in the know ) and captian canuck (me, been called that once by an american friend after i made a canadian joke) should be in for the captains list

We need more people though, seeing you cadaveca and I all produce about the same, the PPD wouldn't equal out. That or we'd have to have you and me on the same team, and well that wouldn't work

And for the last three days you've been smashing him without my help!

I guess I could be in on this war, though in a bid to 'save some electricity' and maximise my RAM OC, I've dialled back my CPU OC to 3Ghz and my RAM is now at 834Mhz (compared to something like 756Mhz before when i was 3.4Ghz) so my ppd will be greatly reduced.

My PPD should increase and level out over the next week...at least until i get the new card...and then it will increase again.

So what captain is gonna offer me a bribe?

how about I kept the stats that showed you won the card?
